Top 100 Songs of 2011: Welcome

I can finally display to all of you fans my Top 100 Songs of 2011. It took me a long time to select these 100. It's important to remember that these are my PERSONAL FAVORITES. I am not judging these by the musical quality or the impact they may have on the genre as a whole, rather I simply love every song in this list.
I listened to 1,000s of songs over the last year. The weekly mixes alone contained a total of 1,237 tracks, which were always the finest I heard during their respective weeks. I listen to 100s of mixtapes as well. During all of 2011 I listened to anywhere between 200 - 400 different new songs weekly. If you calculate that it's between 10,400 - 20,800 for the year total!
I'm not trying to brag about that, it's actually kind of sick (not in the good way) that I check out such an extreme amount of music by so many talented artists. What I'm saying is that these 100 are pretty much the top 1% that I repeatedly played time after time throughout the months. A lot of great songs are not on this countdown that I play frequently. I really could have made a top 1,000 songs if need be from the year.
A very important thing to remember is that I DID NOT INCLUDE STUDIO ALBUMS. In other words, if it wasn't free it's not going to be on here. (note: only exception I made was if it were a bonus album track or specifically released as a single much earlier than it's official album release)
All that said, I hope you enjoy these as much as I have and maybe even discover some new stuff. Feel free to comment and share if you agree or disagree with me.
