Al-Fatir - Robots And Skylines (Official Mixtape)
Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11:17AM Spotted this sitting in my inbox yesterday. It isn't brand new, rather it's from late February. Call me crazy, but I think this guy sounds a bit like Pusha T.
"Al-Fatir, a fresh new face to hip-hop hailing from Connecticut is back with a refreshingly new sound. His newly released album "Robots And Skylines" is slowly stirring a buzz around the hip-hop community and other cultures alike .We have over 3k download off our official download site. (www.alfatir.com) Listen and enjoy. Good Music."
A few comments on my favorite three tracks and so I don't sound repetitive, they all have ill beats to them...
"Story" - As the title implies, he shows some story telling here. That is, one about a redhead named "Mary Jane". Lots of twists and turns makes this one play out like something you would watch on television.
"Freedom Town" - Although Allen Ritte on the hook may drag a bit, Al-Fatir delivers some hard bars. "I'm seeing clearer like Laysik, life ain't what it is little homie so we make it, I'm taking what I need, the seven deadly sins and my favorite one is greed, I split it like an atom, it's money over Eve, don't bite the apple, I'm growing like a seed, I'm feeling free, this is sounding like freedom..."
"Pray" - Has that 'in a dream' type feel to it. KO gives some smooth vocals on the hook to make this maybe the most complete track off the mixtape.
Other Top Tracks: "Hometown" | "London" | "Time Flys" | "Strong Connection"
